The Hellcat powered Jeep Trackhawk is set to be released in 2018! This monster is powered by the Hellcat engine which is currently set to put down 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque. All of that power and torque will launch this SUV from 0-60 mph in a scary 3.5 seconds. We are talking about a 5,363-pound SUV that is faster than some sports cars!
Like the SRT, the Trackhawk will have multiple driving modes to help the car adapt to the type of driving you want to do. These modes will consist of Auto, Sport, Track, Snow, and Tow. Of course for your everyday driving most will use the Auto mode, but if you ever find yourself on a track, the choice is obvious. Track mode reduces the transmission shift times by 68 percent and the stability control and steering systems are set to give you the ultimate track experience a SUV can offer!
Overall, the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk sounds like it will be a million times better than the current Jeep SRT, performance wise. With all of the upgraded performance in the Trackhawk, there will be an increased price to pay for all of that extra power. Pricing for the new Trackhawk will start at $85,900, $20,000 more than the SRT, but still priced a lot less than its German rivals.
